Last Week to See Prada/Schiaparelli at the MET

I had been hoping to make it to the Metropolitan Museum of Art this summer to see the latest Costume Institute exhibition, “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations.” The exhibition juxtaposes the work of two Italian designers from different eras to show the similar themes in both women’s work. With only two weeks until I leave for France and much to do before I go, I’m starting to doubt that I’ll make it. But anyone in the area who hasn’t seen it should take the opportunity to go during this final week of the exhibit, which concludes Sunday, August 19th. Friends who have gone have informed me that it has all the beauty and cleverness that we’ve come to expect from exhibitions of the Costume Institute.

  1. You could probably see the whole exhibit in 30 minutes or less. And judging from your blog, seems like it’s right up your alley! Hope you get time to check it out.
